How it works

Post the work. Get real bids.
The licensed-professional marketplace.

Ocoro runs the same way commercial procurement has worked for decades — structured scope, sealed bids, direct payment. We rebuilt it for a single regulated job, in plain language, on both sides. Same flow whether it’s a kitchen rewire, a real-estate listing, an insurance quote, or a massage-license chair contract.

AFor customers

Five steps. The first one takes about four minutes.

  1. Step 01
    1 · Describe the work

Pick a license category — real estate, electrical, insurance, massage, attorney, anything Ocoro verifies. Walk through a branched intake that asks the same questions a real licensed pro would ask. Add photos. Set urgency. Add a budget hint if you have one. About four minutes.

  2. Step 02
2 · Your post goes on the open marketplace

Your job is added to the public board where every verified pro in their declared service area can see it. We're a marketplace, not a pairing system — we don't pick a pro for you. We DO notify pros whose license, geography, and accepted tier match your post, so the right people see it fast. But the marketplace is open: any verified pro can browse and bid.

  3. Step 03
3 · Sealed bids come in

Each pro sees the scope and the count of competing bids, but not the dollar amounts. Bids are locked for the urgency window. You see them as they land. Median pricing surfaces; outliers (high overbids, suspicious low bids) get flagged so the price you see is the real one.

  4. Step 04
    4 · Pick the bid that's right

Compare price, start date, pro rating, completed jobs, license class, response time. Open the pro's profile to see their full job history. Accept one bid. The job closes to the others.

  5. Step 05
5 · Pay your pro direct

Contact info exchanges the moment you accept. The pro invoices you and you pay them the way you'd pay any licensed pro — check, ACH, card, or in the case of real estate, the closing disbursement. Ocoro never holds your money. After the work's done, both sides leave reviews.

BFor licensed pros

Verification first. Bidding second. Payment when the work’s confirmed done.

  1. Step 01
1 · Apply with state license + insurance

License pulled live from your state's regulating body — contractor board, real-estate commission, department of insurance, cosmetology board, state bar, whichever issued yours. Insurance or E&O verified directly with your carrier. EIN validated. Sanctions check. Two business days for the first cohort in a state; same-day after.

  2. Step 02
    2 · Set your filters

License category, ZIPs / counties you cover, accepted job size tiers, urgency types you take. The board only shows you jobs that match. No spam, no irrelevant routes.

  3. Step 03
3 · Claim a slot, review the scope, bid

Press 'Bidding' to claim a slot. 48 hours to review the scope, ask questions through the in-platform chat, and confirm the tier. Then a fresh 48 hours to submit your fixed bid: amount (or commission rate), earliest start, scope notes. You see the competitor count but not their numbers.

  4. Step 04
4 · Bill the customer direct

Win a bid, do the work, send your invoice the way you always do. Get paid the day the work clears — no platform release schedule. Ocoro bills you separately for the win fee on your card on file (3% on standard jobs capped at $485 / job, 1% on real estate commissions).

CJob size tiers

Why solo pros don’t have to compete with full-team shops on small work, and why crews don’t have to cherry-pick their way to a living.
