This policy applies to everyone using Ocoro. Violations may lead to immediate suspension, account termination, content removal, and forfeiture of fees paid. Repeat or severe violations may be reported to law enforcement.
What you may not do
- Misrepresent identity, license, or insurance. Posting work under another contractor’s license, listing an expired license, or claiming insurance you don’t carry are all immediate-removal offenses.
- Bid on or accept work outside your licensed trade or class. Apprentices and journeymen without independent rights may not submit bids.
- Solicit off-platform. Contractors must not pressure homeowners to take bids, payments, or communications off Ocoro after being introduced through Ocoro. Doing so deprives the homeowner of marketplace protections (verification, dispute records, reputation accountability).
- Game the maintenance pricing tier. Posting installation, replacement, or repair work as “maintenance” to avoid standard fees is a removal offense. Maintenance scope and price boundaries are published on our Pricing page.
- Post content that is illegal, harassing, deceptive, sexually explicit, or violates third-party rights.
- Submit jobs that aren’t residential. Commercial, industrial, or new-construction work is outside the platform scope.
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or hammer the Service. No automated access without written permission. No attempts to expose other users’ data.
- Manipulate ratings or bids. No fake reviews, no mutual review-trading rings, no shill bidding.
- Discriminate. Refusal to serve a homeowner based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, familial status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or veteran status is grounds for removal.
- Bring weapons, drugs, or unsafe conduct on a job site.
Reporting
File a complaint at ocoromarket.com/report. Include the job ID, what happened, and any supporting evidence. We review every report within 5 business days; severe / safety / fraud reports same day.
Plain English on what we do with reports: we log them, we review them, and we act only by removing repeat or severe-conduct accounts and referring genuinely dangerous conduct to law enforcement / state licensing boards. Ocoro does not mediate, arbitrate, refund, inspect, or take sides in scope or quality disputes. See Terms § 4.1 for the full role description.
Enforcement
- First minor violation, written notice and required correction.
- Second violation, or any major violation, temporary suspension pending review.
- Severe or repeat violations, permanent removal. We may report to state licensing boards, insurance carriers, or law enforcement when warranted.
- False or knowingly misleading complaint, itself a violation of this policy and grounds for removal of the filer.
Ocoro reserves the right to take any action necessary to protect users and the integrity of the Service, including without prior notice in safety-related cases. Ocoro does not commit to action beyond the scope described in Terms § 4.1.
