Ocoro is contractor-billed only. Homeowners never pay Ocoro. The full pricing model lives on our Pricing page.
Homeowners
Ocoro charges homeowners a tiered posting fee when you submit a job, based on how many bids you want: free for up to 2 bids, $5 for up to 4 bids, $10 for up to 10 bids. Maintenance posts are a flat $8. That is the only thing Ocoro charges a homeowner. We do not collect payment for the job itself, charge platform fees on the contract, or take any percentage of the invoice. The homeowner pays the contractor directly, check, ACH, card, however the two parties agree. Any refund or dispute over the job payment is between the homeowner and the contractor.
Paid posting tiers are non-refundable once the job is posted and routed to contractors, except where required by law. If you cancel a job before any contractor receives notification, email billing@ocoromarket.com for a refund.
Contractors, what we charge
- $99 / month subscription. Unlimited bidding on jobs in your tier and service area. Billed monthly to the card on file.
- 3% per won standard job, capped at $485. Billed when the homeowner accepts your bid.
- $7 flat per approved maintenance job. No percentage. Maintenance scope and pricing boundaries are on our Pricing page; jobs that exceed those boundaries are standard jobs and pay the 3% / $485-cap structure.
Cancellation
You can cancel the $99 subscription any time from your dashboard or by emailing billing@ocoromarket.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, you keep access through the period you paid for. No early-termination fees.
Subscription refunds
Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We do not pro-rate cancellations mid-cycle.
Per-job fee refunds
Per-job fees (3% on win or $10 maintenance) are refunded in three cases:
- Job cancelled before work begins. If the homeowner cancels before any work is performed and you have not begun mobilization, email billing@ocoromarket.com within 14 days for a full refund of the per-job fee.
- Homeowner unreachable. If the homeowner does not respond within 7 days of bid acceptance and the job cannot proceed, the per-job fee is refunded.
- Platform error. If a fee was charged in error, we refund within 5 business days of confirming the error.
Failed payments
If your card fails, we retry on a standard schedule (3-day, 7-day, 14-day) and notify you by email. After 21 days of failed payment, your account is suspended, you keep your data, but you can’t see or bid on new jobs until the balance is current.
Chargebacks
Disputing a legitimate fee through your card issuer (instead of contacting us) is grounds for account suspension. We’d much rather just refund you when something is wrong, please email billing@ocoromarket.com first.
Tax
Sales tax is added where required by state law. Contractors are responsible for their own income tax reporting on revenue earned through homeowner work; we are not your employer.
1099 reporting
Ocoro does not pay you, the homeowner pays you directly. We do not issue 1099-NEC or 1099-K forms for homeowner-to-contractor payments because we do not handle them. You may receive a 1099-MISC from us reflecting any rebates or referral payments we send to you, if applicable.
Pricing changes
We give 30 days’ written notice before changing fees. Existing wins under your current pricing tier stay at the rate in effect when the bid was accepted.
